Interview Reminder Email Template to Hire that Top Candidate
A job interview is the candidate’s first real impression of your company. Sending an interview reminder email that includes all the necessary and relevant information for the potential hire puts your company’s best foot forward by showing them your consideration in making sure that your location is accessible and helping them come prepared. Candidates with good interview experience are more likely to move forward with the hiring process and, of course, are less likely to miss their interview.
The time, date, and location of the interview.
It helps to put these details in bold for the candidate to find easily. If they will be travelling to a new location, you will want the meeting place to be as accessible to them as possible. You can include a map link or attachment, as well as a calendar attachment for the candidate to save on their mobile with a reminder alert. Adding nearby landmarks will also be helpful.
If the interview will be conducted virtually, it’s most efficient to paste the meeting link and ID on the email, or add a calendar attachment for the candidate to save. Aside from making it easier for the candidate to find, typographical errors are common, and you don’t want to lose your candidate over a mistyped meeting detail. If the meeting room is password-locked, don’t forget to add the code in the email as well.
What to prepare and things to bring.
Let the candidate know if they need to bring ID, a pen, a laptop, or anything else that might help the interview go smoothly. If you’re administering a test, a panel interview, a demo, or any other screening step alongside the interview, it’s best to give them time to prepare.
