Protect yourself and your Jobstreet account
Follow these tips to stay safe throughout your recruitment process.
Log out and clear browser cache on public or shared devices. If you’ve accessed your Jobstreet account on a shared or public device, always log out and clear the browser cache to ensure no one else can access your account.
Monitor account activity regularly. Check your account for unusual activity, such as unauthorised login attempts, job ads you did not create or unexpected changes to job postings. Promptly address any abnormality by reporting the issue to Jobstreet.
Use unique passwords for each account. Avoid reusing passwords across multiple accounts. If one account is breached, using different passwords ensures cyber criminals won’t gain access to your other accounts.
Choose a long and strong password. Use a strong password combining 8 characters or more, uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols.
Avoid storing passwords in browsers. Do not allow web browsers to store your Jobstreet password, especially on shared or public devices. This prevents unauthorised users from accessing your account.
Never share your password. Avoid sharing your Jobstreet account password with anyone.
Adding users: If you have additional staff accessing your Jobstreet account to help manage applications or create ads, make sure you add them as individual users. You can create additional users as a standard user or as an administrator, which gives them greater access to functions, such as managing user permissions. You can also assign a user to a specific task, so they can only view and access information for that task.
Keep access up to date: If someone leaves your organisation, promptly remove them as a user to ensure they no longer have access to your Jobstreet account.

Verify the sender’s email address. If the email appears to be from Jobstreet but has an email domain other than @jobstreet.com, @seekasia.com or @seek.com, it is likely a phishing email. Avoid clicking on any links or opening any attachments.
Be cautious of requests for sensitive information. Jobstreet will never send request for your credentials, such as usernames, passwords, bank or billing details or other personal information.
Question vague information. Scammers keep the email subject and email body vague to induce your sense of curiosity to trick you into clicking on the phishing link or downloading the malicious attachment.
Beware of brand inconsistencies. Be cautious of phishing emails using low-resolution logos, outdated Jobstreet branding or incorrect colour schemes.
Be cautious of urgency and fear tactics. Scammers state a short timeframe to pressure you into acting quickly on their requests, often by threatening negative consequences if you don't respond in time.

Verify that it’s from Jobstreet’s legitimate domain (@jobstreet.com, @seekasia.com or @seek.com).
Ensure the content is professionally formatted and is detailed. Poor spelling or grammar and vagueness is a sign of phishing.
Call
Verify if it matches Jobstreet's official phone number (+6032778 9000).
Text Message
The only text message (SMS) you may receive from Jobstreet will be for a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) request to the phone number paired with your Jobstreet account. Only approve the MFA request if you were in the midst of logging into your Jobstreet account and the details on the request matches. You may also receive an MFA request through your authentication app.
Social Media
Jobstreet will not contact you via social media.
